Our commitment to sustainability and industrial decarbonization
Since 2023, Pi-Zeta di Poli Renato e C. Snc has embarked on a structured journey to measure and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in compliance with the ISO 14064-1 standard.
This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the ecological transition and communicating environmental performance transparently to clients and stakeholders. The analysis includes all emission categories – Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 – with 2023 as the baseline year, a comparison with 2024, and a decarbonization roadmap through 2030.
In 2024, total emissions slightly increased compared to 2023 (+9.2 t CO₂e), while direct emissions (Scope 1) decreased by 31%, confirming the effectiveness of the first energy efficiency actions. The growth in Scope 3 emissions, related to the purchase of goods and raw materials, highlights the need to engage the supply chain in reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
Reduced from 63.50 to 43.80 t CO₂e (–31%) thanks to more efficient LPG management and fleet optimization. Next steps: transition to electric vehicles, improved building insulation, and monitoring of fugitive refrigerant emissions.
Emissions remained stable (–1.8%), with potential reductions achievable through renewable electricity supply and on-site photovoltaic systems.
The largest emission category, primarily linked to steel purchases (+11%). Pi-Zeta’s strategy focuses on collaborating with sustainable suppliers, prioritizing recycled and low-carbon materials and implementing green procurement policies.
Pi-Zeta’s GHG reduction plan aligns with the European Green Deal and international climate neutrality objectives. 2030 Target: –45% CO₂e emissions compared to 2023, equal to 301 t CO₂e/year.
We strive to be a point of reference for our clients. We operate with high-quality organizational procedures and standards. We have employees who, with passion and collaboration, strive for continuous improvement, in the name of quality and Made in Italy. Passion is a family value inherited from the founders. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions show a steady downward trend, confirming the effectiveness of Pi-Zeta’s internal sustainability measures. Scope 3 emissions remain the main challenge—but also the greatest opportunity—for collaborative decarbonization.
Pi-Zeta has established a clear and achievable roadmap, with a 45% total emission reduction by 2030, reaffirming its long-term commitment to carbon neutrality.
Monitoring progress and refining the decarbonization strategy
Deeper collaboration with suppliers, clients, and logistics partners to reduce the carbon footprint across the entire value chain
ensuring full transparency and reliability of GHG data through independent third-party validation
Pi-Zeta’s long-term goal is clear: Net Zero Emissions by 2050. The company will continue its journey toward sustainable innovation through:
